The Sport of Pigeon Racing

    Welcome back Race Fans!!

I will cover a host of racing oriented topics today, from a Sports Illustrated article to a web site of some of our Facebook friends,as well as a YouTuber's channel.

We enjoyed a very successful race schedule today. The winds were NW at 24km/h and temperatures at 4c, as usual our racers hurried home and trapped fairly well. Please enjoy today's results video in the player below.

Here is a link to a SportsIllustrated article. This article covers pigeon racing's "fervent world" where the "top racers command big bucks" and it also describes De Senna the most expensive racing pigeon ever brought to the U.S.A. I especially enjoyed the section on the pigeons attributes. Definitely one of the better articles I've read. Have a look!

Here is the link to our Facebook friends web site. I love the layout of this site it seems to be almost as easy to navigate as our own.  Although it is a little tough to translate, but all in all a great addition to the web.

My last addition to today's broadcast will be from a YouTuber friend of ours. This fella's submissions shows his racers training up for longer and longer distances, as well as trapping from each distance's launch. This is pigeon racing from the "grassroots" or backyard perspective.
