A Busy Week

Hello Race Fans!

Things have been running well around here over the last week. We rephotographed the racers and added them to the "racer's catalog" on both "compete-at" and our web site. The new clock is working well and I am busy working on an "e-book" for our racing enthusiasts, this book will show all the latest race times and stats on each bird in our club.

The newest racers (in training) have settled in nicely and on the weekend we removed the observation pen. After a day or so of peeking, they have started to do laps around the loft with more and more of them flocking together for a fly. This twice a day routine has been easy for them to learn due partially, I'm sure, to the fact they have 60 plus well trained racers living beside them. After another week or so these 130 new racers should be ready for "launch box" training, with some short distance launches.

For anyone considering homing pigeons as a hobby, we have a perfect starters kit available on Kijiji, or even just as a great low maintenance pet for your child, our "Royal Racers" are a beautiful white dove like bird you can train, in a month or so, to home back to your house. This kit comes with a user friendly easily cleaned cage, one or two white Royal Racers (bred from our racing stock), a 3 months supply of  specially blended feed, and our club support and advice while you get started. You can find our ad on Kijiji under "birds for sale" in the Toronto area.

With Stake races booked pretty much everyday our little club continues to grow and improve. thanks to all who have gotten involved and to those patient few waiting for race times to be posted.

   Until next time
